03Who travels with you
We’re a small team between Spain and the Sahara, so you always know who you’re talking to.
Kaissa Lattab is Spanish with Algerian roots. She knows the country’s language, culture and traditions. She designs every trip, coordinates with Djanet and travels with the groups.
On the ground, the Tuareg guides from Djanet know every dune, canyon and painting in the Tassili.

06Before you go
No. You can travel solo, as a couple or in a group. The price is per person and depends on how many of you travel, so we work it out in your quote.
Yes, you need a visa to enter Algeria. The local agency in Algeria we work with handles it directly: we tell you which documents you need and when to send them.
The coolest months in the Sahara usually run from October to April. The Sebiba festival has a set date each year, based on the lunar calendar.
It depends on the route. In the Tadrart the 4x4 covers the long stretches. Sefar and Essendilène are treks of several hours a day. We’ll suggest the one that suits your group.
The group always travels with the local team from Djanet, in areas with National Park permits. Before you travel, check your government’s travel advice for Algeria.
Every quote spells out what’s included and what isn’t. Usually: transfers in Djanet, National Park permits, Tuareg guides, support vehicles or caravan, and full board during the expedition.
With one of the licensed travel agencies that work with Soul of the Sahara. We send your quote on behalf of the agency organising your trip, and they give you the contract and the guarantees.
